After recording a strong win over Victoria Country last week, the Allies lost 7.10 (52) to 6.14 (50) against Victoria Metro on the Gold Coast.
They trailed by three points at the first change and seven at half-time despite having three more scoring shots.
They led by six points by three-quarter time, but were overran in the last term.
Clarence onballer Fraser Turner was judged the best afield, gathering 25 touches and nine marks amid the nine Tasmanians featured.
North Hobart’s Mitchell O’Neill finished the day with 19 disposals, six marks, four clearances and one goal.
Launceston midfielder Chayce Jones stood out once again, earning 10 kicks, seven handballs and eight tackles.
North Launceston star Tarryn Thomas accumulated 15 kicks, three handballs, five marks and six tackles.
