To buck the trend, they are offering big prizes ahead of this year’s event which again doubles as the Australian Multisport Championship.
The earlier competitors enter, the more draws they enter with the chance to win such prizes as a weekend package at MONA.
Event committee member Mark Padgett said organisers received positive feedback from last year’s course changes and are keen to increase participation by providing categories for all ages and abilities.
“We are aiming to attract another high-end field of individuals, but the majority of our entries are just regular people who like to keep fit and enjoy the outdoors,” he said.
“You can challenge your friends to form a team and motivate you to train and keep fit this winter. Then enjoy a weekend with them in October competing together in a great Tassie location.”
