Based at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture’s Burnie research facility, Dr Scott has been studying the affects of the mildew on the state’s poppy crops for almost four years.
The annual general meeting also includes election of grower representatives for the body’s management committee from the state’s nine poppy-growing regions.
Supper will be served after the meeting.
The meeting will be held from 4.30pm for a 5pm start at Lucas Hotel, 48 Gilbert Street, Latrobe.
