Inspector Lieutier joined Tasmania Police in February 1985 and was promoted to inspector in 2002.
During her 33-year-career she has worked in a range of policing areas including uniform, criminal investigation, drug investigations, intelligence, and internal investigations.
Inspector Lieutier said she was humbled by the award.
“I feel fortunate to be working for an organisation which values the contribution of individuals at every level,” she said.
“I have felt supported throughout my career and feel privileged to be in a position myself to now be supporting others moving through the ranks.”
Commissioner Darren Hine said Inspector Lieutier was extremely worthy of the recognition.
“She is a respected role model and leader who embraces innovation and consistently demonstrates initiative, motivation, tenacity and commitment,” he said.
Inspector Lieutier is currently the project manager for the multi-agency Emergency Services Computer Aided Dispatch project.
