The restaurant will host a producer series, which will include bringing mainland chefs to Launceston to cook a meal using some of the state’s finest seasonal produce.
Restaurant food director Massimo Mele said the series will start in July.
“Every month or every second month we will have events for the restaurant, promoting different producers,” he said.

Celebrity chefs will work with Grain of the Silos head chef Peter Twitchett to create a special dinner, which will feature a different Tasmanian-grown ingredient.
“We want to focus on the product and bring the producers together,” Twitchett said.
Truffles are likely to be the feature of the launch’s menu.
“Our plan is to get a couple truffle farms on board, to support the industry instead of just supporting one producer,” Mele said.
“We want to get rid of that element of competition.”
In addition to the producer series, Mele and Twitchett will host market tours, starting in January.
Guests will get a first-class experience of Launceston’s iconic Harvest Market as Twitchett introduces them to the stallholders and their incredible produce.
Twitchett said the tours are a great opportunity for guests to pick out some of the state’s finest food before heading back to the restaurant for a cook up.
“It’ll be a two or three hour deal where people are around food and wine, and have a nice lunch,” he said.
Mele said the tours were about giving guests a very personal service.
“You’re always trying to think what the next thing is, what’s the next x-factor and this is a no brainer,” he said.
The restaurant is also looking at potentially building a community garden on site.
“It’s all about those things that people can connect with,” Mele said.
