The Riverside 17-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2017-18 state season and only appears destined for bigger things with a handful of interstate races lined up for this year.
He took out nine feature races and his debut Tasmanian title race to be undefeated in the Formula 500 class last season, and in April set a Hobart Speedway lap record en route to his maiden 410 sprintcar win.

Goodyer said his family, including father Darren who owns the D&B Goodyer Developments Racing team, has played a huge part in his racing career.
“I started out in a dirt go-kart because I was never old enough to get in the bigger cars, so I just did that for a year before I could and then as soon as it was my birthday I always begged Dad to get me a Formula 500,” the apprentice electrician said.
“I didn’t actually want to get a sprint car but he built it and I got in it and now I love it.
“(My family) are obviously the best supporters I’ve got - they support me in everything, they do it all, they pay for it and allow me to do everything I can, taking the time off work to go over there and race.”
Eventually Goodyer plans to take his talents to the US, but for now he’s content testing himself against the country’s best on the mainland.
“I did heaps of mainland racing this year as well in Melbourne and in August, July I’m going to do the Formula 500 Australian title in Darwin and the sprintcar after that for three weeks in Darwin.
“I raced it last year in Adelaide in Murray Bridge and I got fifth and that was my fifth race but I’ll come in there with a lot more experience now so hopefully I can get up the front and try and beat them.”
