And when there is a day devoted to the drink you create, it must be celebrated.
Saturday is World Cider Day, with Brady’s Lookout Cider celebrating early in the day at Harvest Launceston, cider maker Caroline Brown said.
“We will be celebrating World Cider Day on Saturday with Tasmanian Cider Trail members Lost Pippin and Red Brick Road Ciderhouse,” Mrs Brown said.
“Come and celebrate tasting a range of great Tasmanian ciders.”
World Cider Day was launched by Association of Apple Wine and Fruit Juice Press Houses members in Hesse, Germany, to “provide an international platform for all apple cider nations”.
“It symbolises the beginning of the apple cider season all over the world,” the association said.
Join the World Cider Day event at Harvest Launceston on Saturday between between 8.30am to 12.30pm.
