The House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Water Resources has launched an inquiry into the barriers to increased investment in Australia’s agriculture sector by superannuation funds.
Committee chairman Western Australian MP Rick Wilson said the agricultural sector was in danger of being left behind because of a lack of investment.
“...the superannuation industry is an obvious source of that. With this inquiry, the committee hopes to find out how investment can be encouraged,” Mr Wilson said.
Submissions will be taken until June 22.
