The group is spending two days in the city and will participate in a marine debris clean up event at Royal Park on Saturday.
Members are also here for a special film screening event, held on Friday night.
The screening will show the documentary Albatross, which is a confronting look at the impact of marine debris on Midway Island, in the remote North Pacific Ocean.
The film screening will be held from 6pm at The Tramsheds, Inveresk. Tickets available via the Facebook event.
The marine debris clean up event is a monthly event.
Residents are encouraged to come along and help “fight plastic pollution, not only for the health of our oceans but for the magnificent albatross”.
The clean up will be from 11am to noon with counting and sorting of the debris to follow, between noon to 2pm.
Volunteers should meet at the end of Park Street.
