With the successful introduction of girls’ football in 2017, this year saw even greater numbers taking part with the inclusion of a second girls’ game.
Hosted by South Launceston Football Club with the support of the Northern High School Sports Association, the cup matches served as both schools’ round 2 Northern High School games.
Organisers said the day was again a huge achievement with students and families coming together to support the six games.
The best players from each team, awarded the Bulldog medal, were: junior 1sts, Alex Jordan (KM), Sam Shaw (QHS); 2nds, Jacobie Maynard (KM), Kyle Clements (QHS); girls 2nds, Jemma Walters (KM), Zoe Lewis (QHS); 1sts, Kelsie Hill (KM), Kiara Mills (QHS); senior 1sts, Isaac Chugg (KM), Jesse Rhodes (QHS); 2nds, Joseph Davey (KM), Callum Austin (QHS).
