The victory also made it two from two over the weekend in the curtain-closer to Collingwood’s Super Netball home game in Melbourne, but more importantly it’s five Tassie wins from six matches since an opening-round loss.
The Storm led by two at quarter-time with six extra shots on goal before the Magpies took the ascendancy.
Shooter Jane Cook just dominated around the goals with 45 from 48 attempts, as the Tasmanians turned the early deficit into a sizeable 51-41 lead by the last change.
Hobart-based assistant Magpies coach Claire Dennis was upbeat from the side’s bullish start to the campaign.
The Tasmanians won their first Saturday clash 74-43.
“There’s a lot of positives from the games and even more to work on to ensure we are continually challenging the players to reach their full potential,” Dennis said.
