More than 250,000 animals, or one million paws, will be supported through the RSPCA thanks to its largest fundraising event of the year.

Hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes, alongside their humans, arrived at Launceston’s Royal Park from 11am to take part in the annual event.
Launceston Animal Care Centre manager Lorraine Hamilton said it was a lovely day.
“We’re very pleased with the turnout. The weather has held out,” she said.
“We’ve never had a year with more need for financial assistance.
Ms Hamilton said the funds will be used by the RSPCA to care for seized animals, keeping shelters running, and caring for animals most in need, and to keep animal shelters running.
RSPCA Tasmania aimed to raise $60,000 through this year’s Million Paws Walk.
Walks took place in Launceston, St Helens, Ulverstone, and Hobart.
A final tally of funds raised through the event is expected on Monday.
