The showpiece fixture will see the Swans celebrate their history by donning 1956-style black and white guernseys, which will be auctioned off after the game.
Coach Ned Hyland said his side was revved up for the occasion and keen to bounce back from a tough loss to premier Lilydale last weekend.
“It’s a pretty big one for our whole community down here,” Hyland said.
“We’ll play in our old black and and white jumpers so that’s a pretty special occasion for a few of the old faces that haven’t played in those jumpers for a lot of years, or a few of the new guys to put it on for the first time.”
Both sides could make up to four changes for the clash, with Old Scotch hoping to regain Tom Pedley, Lachlan McFadzean and Alex McKenzie for the crucial clash.
Thistles coach Shaun Muller said his side was excited to be a part of the day.
“Hopefully there’s a big crowd in Pyengana to watch because it’s a great thing the footy club is doing to take a game a year up to the community, full credit to them,” he said.
“It’s one I certainly think we can win but in saying that we need to play very well to do that.
“We’re building into some pretty good form at the moment, even with seven or eight of our best 22 out, but the guys that have been playing have been really playing their role which as a coach is all you can ask for.”
The game starts at 2pm.
