Students at Launceston Church Grammar school have been rehearsing All Shook Up since February, with the final rehearsals taking place over the coming days.
The two main characters, Natalie and Chad, are played by students Medhanit Barratt and Conall Cassidy.
“It’s really exciting seeing it come together,” Barratt said.
“It’s come together pretty well this weekend, so it’s feeling good, looking good,” Cassidy said.
Director Jeff Clarke said the story was set in the 1950s, a small town in the midwest of the United States.
“Everybody is pretty down on themselves, and then a mysterious roustabout comes along and transforms the town into something that's fun, and people start loving each-other,” he said.
“It’s a lot of fun, it’s so high-energy.”
All Shook Up will run from May 16 to 18 from 7pm.
Tickets can be booked online at Trybooking. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $8 for students.
