Some stallholders will still attend, but no usual market infrastructure will be in place.
In a post on Facebook, market organisers said the decision was made to cancel the market due to the high winds forecasted during the day.
“The decision was not made lightly, but safety must come first,” the post said.
Winds in Launceston are predicted to be southeasterly at 25 to 35 km/h.
Harvest Launceston will be back on May 19.
