At the NTCA Ground, Launceston scored an easy win over Riverside despite posting a moderate total on day one.
Westbury continued its good form into day two of the match against George Town to easily take first innings points and cement a position inside the top four.
MOWBRAY v SOUTH
Resuming at 1-89 after bowling Mowbray out for 162 on day one, South added 10 runs before Mark Nutting (56) fell to the spin of Ben Howard (3-70).
This was to start a nervous few minutes for the South batsmen as in the following over Jerome Illingworth (2-57) claimed two wickets off consecutive deliveries to have South at 4-100.
Leatherbarrow (85), who was stranded at the other end as wickets fell around him, then came to the rescue with an impressive innings that lasted 212 minutes and included 11 boundaries.
Brett Coad (28) joined Leatherbarrow and the pair settled the innings, adding 89 runs for the fifth wicket to pass Mowbray.
Mowbray's Nathan King was unable to field because of a knee injury and Brett Burgess was forced from the field after bowling only three overs with an ankle injury.
Added to the loss of Paul Richardson on day one and with Illingworth struggling with an ankle injury, captain Clinton Reid called on nine bowlers.
Shane Walters (53), with two boundaries and one six in 110 minutes, helped push the total to 276 from 117 overs.
Mowbray, batting a second time, faced 16 overs before stumps and almost self destructed with fatigue and a long list of injuries.
With Shane Walters (3-18) and Jack Young (3-18), Mowbray was reduced to 6-55 at stumps.
LAUNCESTON
v RIVERSIDE
Launceston applied pressure to the Riverside batsmen with some excellent bowling backed up by some brilliant fielding to never let them in with a real chance of taking first-innings points.
With wickets falling at regular intervals, Riverside struggled to put any decent partnerships together with 31 being the best for the innings.
At one stage, Riverside was 3-77, but Launceston dismissed the Blues for 105.
Stuart Jones (2-16) along with Michael Routledge (4-29 from 16 overs) never let the Blues batsmen gain any momentum.
Jack Whelan chimed in with 3-13 from 13 overs.
Mathew Shipp (14), Tarl Hart (16), Darren Simmonds (18) and Henry Fowkes (12) all got a start but could not go on with the job.
Launceston started its second innings in a blaze of glory as Andrew Belsak (52 from 35 balls) took the long handle to the Blues attack.
Damien Jillett (42no) steadied the innings as the Blues fought back to have the Lions 6-137 at stumps with Jade Selby (22).
Stuart Patton (2-33) and Alister Gibbons (2-10) were the main wicket takers as they kept the Lions batsmen under control.
G/TOWN v WESTBURY
Led by captain Nick Spencer (4-44) from 14 overs, the Shamrocks dismissed the Saints for a disappointing 167 at Crothers Oval after scoring 271 on day one.
With wickets falling regularly, the Saints were in trouble early and crashed to 8-114 and faced the possibility of an outright defeat.
Scott Driessen (36) with four boundaries and Chris Walsh (29) with six boundaries were the only top-order batsmen who looked like making a contribution to the total.
Forced to follow on, the Saints were 7-170 at stumps, avoiding outright defeat with an improved batting performance.
