The annual Poppy Growers’ Luncheon will be held at Josef Chromy Wines, Relbia, on Wednesday, May 16.
Tasmanian Alkaloids will announce the Top Crop awards for 2018, with around 150 growers, industry representatives and guests expected to attend.
Top codeine and thebaine growers will be acknowledged at the Poppy Growers’ Luncheon, with winners receiving travel vouchers as prizes.
Tasmanian Alkaloids field operations manager Tom Radcliff said the awards were a chance to review the growing season, celebrate the top performers and discuss future developments.
