Premier Will Hodgman’s former chief of staff Brad Stansfield will join the staff of Finance Minister Mathias Cormann next week.

A spokeswoman for the Liberal senator told The Examiner on Monday that Mr Stansfield would work from Canberra and Hobart in his role as senior adviser.
“[He will] provide policy and political advice, in particular on federal-state related budget matters,” she said.
Mr Stansfield was chief of staff for Mr Hodgman for eight years in opposition and in government.
He announced his resignation from the position on February 8 – 11 days after Mr Hodgman set the date for the 2018 state electoin.
He will begin in his new role on Monday, April 30.
