Gravelly Beach artist Pieter Zaadstra has sold his White Church Gallery in Glengarrie, and will continue his private art studio at The Stables.
Zaadstra, a portrait, landscape and figure painter, migrated to Australia from the Netherlands and has since cemented his reputation as one of Australia’s foremost artists.
The White Church Gallery was up for sale last year before Zaadstra took it off the market, deciding to keep the gallery a while longer.
But a surprise offer prompted Zaadstra to accept and relocate his studio out of the little church studio.
“It was actually a bit of a wrench,” he said, but noted that it was time for someone else to take up the White Church and pursue their own dreams.
