On May 19, the organisation’s annual Winter Ball fundraiser will return to the Hotel Grand Chancellor.
Featuring a silent auction and live music, event organiser Taihlaura Denman-Francis said the ball was the perfect excuse for people to get dressed up and show their support for an important cause.
“It is a great night and always a lot of fun,” she said.
“It is certainly one of our biggest events and everything goes towards helping sick children across Tasmania.
“We currently have two local wishes that we are working on and whatever we can do to raise awareness and get the word out there is obviously a positive step towards making those wishes a reality.”
The Winter Ball returned to Launceston in 2017 following a one year hiatus.
Ms Denman-Francis said the event had since found a new lease on life and hoped the community would continue to show its support.
“I think there is definitely a new energy to it, which is really exciting,” she said.
“There have been a lot of young volunteers coming on board in recent months and that’s definitely generated some fresh ideas.”
