Her Excellency, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor Kate Warner will make the keynote speech at the event.
Deloraine RSL sub-branch secretary and treasurer Shirley Howe said the service was particularly important as the last year of the centenary commemoration of World War I.
“We’ll leave the theme of the service up to the Governor [Ms Warner] to choose,” she said.
“No doubt the significance of the last centenary commemorations will be involved.”
The service will take place at the cenotaph from 11am.
It will be followed by a lunch at the Deloraine Ex-Service and Citizens Club.
