MR CONSISTENT: Launceston midfielder Brodie Palfreyman was on song against Lauderdale on Saturday.

The bullish midfielder was awarded three votes in the State League player of the year award for his role in the Blues’ 10-goal away win over Lauderdale – seven days after receiving two votes for dominating at Windsor Park against North Hobart.

The 19-year-old electrician had a multitude of touches and booted one major to now sit atop the round 3 leaderboard with Glenorchy’s Daniel Joseph on five votes each.

Youngster Jake Hinds returned from suspension with a vengeance, while Jack Rushton earned one vote in just his second TSL outing – finishing with two goals.

An illness-depleted North Launceston did not pick up a vote this week, with Magpies star Jaye Bowden securing maximum votes at UTAS Stadium.

Bowden and Joseph converted a couple of goals apiece running through the middle. Meanwhile, Clarence skipper Brady Jones was best on ground against the Demons.
