Break O’Day community services manager Chris Hughes said planning was “still continuing in relation to this project”.
Mr Hughes said the Forest Action Plan for the St Helens MTB Trail network had been signed by all parties and would be submitted to the Forest Practice Authority for the final sign off.
Once a signed Reserve Activity Assessment was signed by Parks and Wildlife, the project would be submitted as a Development Application.
The MTB network will comprise of about 70 kilometres of trail suitable for most skill levels, and will include a town link to the centre of St Helens.
