Felicity Bott helped to establish The Makers’ Company strategy, which focused the company on the creation of works in Launceston.
Tasdance chairman Peter Matthews said Bott worked tirelessly to ensure the company adapted to challenges in funding, audience trends and changing arts scene.
“Her commitment to the Tasmanian community at large has seen Tasdance engage strongly with people from all walks of life throughout the state, attract new audiences and become more visible throughout Tasmania,” Matthews said.
“We congratulate Felicity on her artistic achievements during her time at Tasdance and wish her well for the future.”
Carol Wellman Kelly will be acting artistic director while Tasdance conducts a national recruiting process.
She has been involved with the company for several years.
