The Office of the Coordinator General advertised the position on March 31, with an application deadline of April 13.
The fixed term role will play a critical role in managing the progress of City Deal, which is anticipated to boost the Northern Tasmanian economy and make Launceston a more vibrant and liveable city.
The one year position’s salary is between $89,714 and $101,591, although the deal is part of a five year plan ending in 2022.
The Launceston City Deal is part of a collaboration between the Federal Government, Tasmanian Government and City of Launceston.
It is Tasmania’s first City Deal and the second in Australia.
