After making her debut for Carlton in the AFLW last weekend, Webb was named as the sole Tasmanian in a 14-player squad which will play four 50-over matches and two T20 matches against the England Women’s Academy and South Africa’s Emerging Women.
The 18-year-old will also be tasked with vice-captain duties during the one-day matches, supporting fellow all-rounder Rachel Trenaman in the top job.
Former Test batter and national high performance coach Leah Poulton said she was excited for what will be the first under-19 women’s series in 15 years.
“This is a really exciting group of players who I think all have big futures in the game so I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform,” Poulton said.
“England and South Africa are two very good teams who will present some good challenges for the group.
“We want the players to be tested and to be pushed outside their comfort zones and to have to adapt to the different situations they find themselves in.”
The series runs between April 12 and April 29.
