Ms Clark said 600 people came to the maze opening over the weekend, a 400-person decrease from 2016.
A rainy Friday also caused problems for Ms Clark and her husband Rowan.
“Usually we have everything prepared on Thursday, but because rain was coming we couldn’t put any of the signs, marquees or markers up until Saturday morning,” she said.
“It caused a few issues.”
The theme this year is bicycles, with the maze cut out in the shape of Tour de France hopeful Richie Porte.
The maze is open between 10am and 4pm for the next four weekends.
