The construction of its new jetty began in December and was boosted by the helping hands of nine club members at the event.
Club rear commodore Glen Cornish said the project was essential to accommodate for visiting yachts.
“This jetty has a vital role in being the fuel jetty for many yachts and power boats on the Tamar,” he said.
“Getting it finished now is vital.”
The project has benefited from $40,000 of funding from the West Tamar Council, state government, TasPorts, Marine, Safety Tasmania, Tasmanian Gas Pipeline and 6ty.
The new jetty is expected to be finished by April.
