Cityprom’s executive officer Steve Henty said the event had been well supported by the community and organisers were pleased with the turnout.
“It is great to see so many people flowing through Kingsway,” he said.
“This is a great event and I would say watch this space, because it has been very well supported and I know the stallholders are keen to bring in more people.”
Saturday’s event brought the street’s businesses to the forefront, with a range of stalls, food, drink and live entertainment.
It also marked the launch of Launceston’s first parklet aimed at encouraging more people onto the city’s streets and offering places to sit back and relax.
Mr Henty said it was still too early to say if the event would return again next year, but organisers were definitely optimistic.
“Everyone seems to really be enjoying themselves so we will just see where this leads us,” he said.
