Tasmanian hockey players Eddie Ockenden and Jeremy Edwards remain on course for the Commonwealth Games after both making the cut for the Kookaburras’ key lead-in tournament.
The Hobart duo were both named in the 18-member team for next month’s Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Perak, Malaysia.
However, Josh Beltz has missed out as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
Fresh from success in the World League final in December, top-ranked Australia will take on hosts Malaysia (ranking 12th), Rio Olympics gold medallists Argentina (second), India (sixth), England (seventh) and the Republic of Ireland (10th) in the tournament which runs from March 3 to 10.
Each nation will meet each other once before the top two sides meet in the final.
The Kookaburras used a four-match Test Series against the Netherlands to finalise selection for the Azlan Shah Cup with the Commonwealth Games following in April.
