The annual Century Ride will push penny farthing enthusiasts to the absolute limit on Saturday.
Competing cyclists will race over 100 miles, 162 kilometres, starting at Australia’s home of the penny farthing bicycle – Evandale.
The gruelling race goes back to the 1880s, when cyclists would gather on a yearly basis to ride 100 miles through the Tasmanian countryside.
The 2018 version of the race will go through Nile, Cressy and then back to Evandale via Poatina Road.
Competitors for the ride are expected to assemble at Evandale at 7am.
The Century Ride is organised by the Evandale Village Fair Association.
