A crowd of more than 60 people engaged in Rotary Australia’s fight against mental illness last week.

The Riverside seminar was one of seven Muster 4 Mental Health forums, by Australian Rotary Health in Tasmania, encouraging people to have difficult conversations about mental health.

Among the guests was Rotary Club of Ulverstone West member Lindsay Morgan, who spoke about his battle with depression.

Chairman of Australian Rotary Health in Tasmania John Dare said the forums allow people to mingle with speakers and mental health experts.

“People were saying, ‘gee whiz, it’s really great to be able to talk to about these issues’,” Mr Dare said.
