Rowing crews will gather on the Tamar River this weekend to contest the 179th Launceston and Henley Regatta.

Competing along a 2000-metre course finishing at Home Point, they will compete in a full program of events from 8am on Saturday and 8.30 on Sunday through to nearly noon on both days.
Crews have entered from Scotch Oakburn, Launceston Church Grammar, St Pat’s, Launceston College, Newstead, Don and Queechy with masters from North Esk, Tamar and Sandy Bay.
Presentations will follow competition including the Roger Fowler junior aggregate trophy (most junior points) and the Graham and Elizabeth Quinn senior aggregate trophy (most points in open class).
