All four sides played T20 matches after last week’s fixtures - scheduled to be the competition’s inaugural week of 45-over matches - were washed out.
At Youngtown Oval, the Knights’ batting lineup was dismissed for the first time in recent memory, but their total of 113 still proved 27 runs too many for Riverside, who finished on 7-86.
Katie Broad took 3-27 for the Blues while Belinda Wegman (36) and Caitlyn Webster (29 not out) did the majority of scoring for the Knights.
Sophie Parkin top-scored with 30 for the Blues but found few partners in the middle order.
Meanwhile, Rhianne Hack scored her first half-century of the season to get the Lions home against Mowbray at Invermay Park.
The all-rounder made 51 not out to guide her side past Mowbray’s 3-93 with six wickets and 15 balls in hand.
Earlier, Lynn Hendley was dismissed for 45 off the last ball of the innings to top-score for Mowbray.
