The existing hairdressing salon, providore and art gallery on the site will be converted into seven “boutique accommodation suites”.
The plans were lodged on behalf of the site’s owners Rod Ascui and Kim Seagram.
The development application said the proposed suites one, two and three would be located on the first floor and would have entry by the existing stairs from Bridge Road, as well as internally into the restaurant.
“Proposed suites four – six will be located on the second floor [the existing gallery] and will have access from the foyer via the first floor,” the application said.

All suites will contain a king bed, ensuites and lounge facilities.
Suite seven will be located on the ground floor in the former hairdressing salon.
“No external building works are proposed and as such no change to the appearance of the building.” the application said.
The application is open for appeal until December 18.
