About a quarter of the tickets to one of the state’s only polo cross events have been sold within three days.
Barnbougle Polo is back for 2018, and organisers say next year’s event will be the biggest yet.
“We’re expecting 4000 – 4500. The event has grown exponentially, we’re expecting our biggest crowd yet,” event organiser Penny Sattler said.
Some players for the main event, which will be happening about 3.30pm, will be flying in from the UK.
Ms Sattler said the event would be pretty similar to previous years, with a few changes including the addition of a Fairfax Fashions on the Field event.
“There will be heats for boys and girls and then the winner for polo fashions on the field,” she said.
Barnbougle will also offer learn to play events throughout December and January.
The event will start at 11.30am on January 20 at the Barnbougle Polo Fields.
Tickets for the event are available from eventbrite.com.au.
It is Barnbougle Polo’s fourth annual event.
