Sprint cars, super sedans, Formula 500 cars and junior sedans will be racing at the event.
There will also be a handful of vintage cars on display.
The speedway had its first meeting on October 27, 1968, and has seen innumerable people come through the turnstiles in the 50 years since.
Organisers estimate attendance to be about 50,000 a year.
Speedway administrator Andrea Cox said people came to the racing track because it provided a unique experience to racegoers.
“Race meetings provide an adrenaline rush and the smell of methanol which you don’t get anywhere else,” she said.
