Garbage disposal company Veolia has jumped on-board the council’s initiative to raise awareness about domestic violence by adorning its collection vehicle with White Ribbon signage.
The move comes after the council displayed signage on its street sweeper, saying: “There’s no excuse for domestic violence. Don’t sweep it under the carpet!”
Veolia’s new signage comes just before White Ribbon week beginning on November 25.
The council’s campaign has been spearheaded by councillor Mary Knowles.
