The Country Tigers defended 99 on their home ground against Diggers with Shannon Rumbel (32) and Rob Moore (20no) steering the innings. Diggers were dismissed for 71 in the 17th over.
Longford’s bowlers also made light work of ACL, toppling the Bluebacks for a paltry 47 in 13.5 overs.
Matthew Oates top scored with 18 as Brett Martin claimed 4-16 before Rumble (29no) and Mitch Fawlkner (15no) finished off the 10-wicket win in 32 balls to keep Longford’s perfect record in tact three rounds in.
LEGANA had mixed results from its double-header against Beauty Point and Hadspen. The Tamar Tigers were 51-runs too good for the Durhams after losing the toss and finishing 7-136.
Skipper Jason Savage smashed 35 with Stuart Prewer chipping in with 23, before Quinton Tahiri (3-25) helped skittle the hosts for 87. Aaron Dusautoy was the only one to get going with 27.
Legana’s batsmen found form in the second match, amassing 5-197 against Hadspen. Adam Burke (52no) and Mike Dunn (48no) combined for an unbroken 107-run partnership following on from Cory Taylor (42) and Luke Laycock (40), while Chieftain Derryn Spinks picked up 3-22.
Nathan Balym (42) was the stand out before Hadspen collapsed and were bolwed out for 119 with Josh Allen (4-10) cleaning up the top order.
