Wilde, in a placement with the Australian Red Cross, organised about 20 different Northern Tasmanian organisations to join together for Stronger Together art exhibition.
Each of the organisations all supplied a board and materials to create their artwork, which clients would then use to create an artwork representing mental health, Wilde said.
By hosting the exhibition at Bunning North Launceston, “it starts normalising the conversation about mental health so it’s not such a taboo topic”.
Australian Red Cross is encouraging businesses to give the mental health of their employees the same priority as their physical health and safety as part of Mental Health Awareness Week (October 8 to 14).
- Stronger Together art exhibition will be officially launched on October 10 between 5pm and 7pm at Bunnings North Launceston. It will run for the entirety of Mental Health Awareness Week until October 15.
