Rural Alive and Well was awarded a cheque for $1000 last week, thanks to a collaboration between Chemists’ Own and Bicheno Pharmacy.
Bicheno Pharmacy nominated the charity organisation in Chemists’ Own Help us Help Local Community campaign for the month of June.
RAW was granted $1000 for its successful application.
Bicheno Pharmacy owner Craig Lawless said the rural-based charity does “amazing” work in the community.
“Part of our catchcry [for the competition nomination] was that country people and remotely located country places are at a disadvantage by virtue of their geographical location,” he said.
“We’re trying to help RAW close the gap as much as possible.”
