Brunton, of Seven Mile Beach, was charged by stewards over an incident at Elwick Racecourse in July.
He pleaded guilty to abusing Tasmanian Jockeys Association general manager Kevin Ring while members of the racing industry were conducting a track inspection.
Stewards found that Brunton had used “foul and abusive language”.
As well as suspending Brunton’s trainer’s licence, stewards also activated a $500 suspended fine imposed in April.
The trainer had been fined $1000 on that occasion with $500 suspended on condition that he did not reoffend for 12 months.
Brunton, a seven-time winner of the Tasmanian trainers’ premiership, is now semi-retired and trained only two winners from a handful of runners last season.
So far this season he has not had a runner.
