Northern Bombers vice-captain Brad Cox-Goodyer was a clear choice for the Darrel Baldock Medal – kicking 8.5 in his fourth-consecutive grand final appearance and third premiership victory.
“I hurt my groin in the first quarter so I couldn’t really run,” he said .
“Credit to the midfield and the backline, they were amazing all day and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them,” the 24-year-old said.
“The culture that’s in place now will carry this club forward for many years, you won’t see this club ever drop down the bottom again.
“[Tom Couch] is a great guy and he is a premiership coach in his first year – amazing.
“But he couldn’t have done it without his assistants and all the players.”
