But now northern Tasmanians will have the opportunity to rock out to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond with Martschinke for his first Launceston solo shows.
Martschinke, better known as Tommy Memphis on the stage, has spent several years touring in Europe and across Australia.
“It’s my first [solo] show in my hometown,” Martschinke said.
“I used to play in original rock and roll bands at Launceston College, but I never have come back with my new show.”
He started his career out as an Elvis tribute artist before focusing on creating his own show.
“I decided to let some of my personality out,” he said.
His solo show, which he will perform at the Trevallyn Bowls Club on Friday, will feature a variety to songs from the “Golden Era of Rock and Roll” and country music, Martschinke said.
Tickets cost $30 for the show or $45 for dinner and a show, and can be purchased by contacting the Trevallyn Bowls Club on 03 63312070.
