The Deloraine Rotary Club held a foxy ladies high tea in August in a bid to purchase new a hospital bed for the region’s hospital.
“The bed has multiple combinations for sleeping, mobilising or examination and as a result is not only comfortable for patients but much safer for staff,” the club’s membership and publicity officer Annette Viney said.
The bed can be lowered to just 28 centimetres from the floor, which reduces the risk of falling from bed.
Ms Viney said everyone who attended the fundraiser had a good time.
“Ladies were encouraged to wear their furs and to parade and give a history behind the fur,” she said.
