The Blues kept Clarence to just one goal when the sides last met in round 11 but an inferior percentage meant they were unable to knock the Roos off top spot, with both sides finishing on 10 wins for the season.
The two standout sides of the competition will meet for the fourth time this year on Sunday – this time at Geilston Bay Oval - with the Blues looking to square the ledger at 2-2 and book a place in the grand final.
“They’re favourites, however we did have a good win against them last time so we’re more than capable of beating them on our day,” Gibbins said.
“Both teams are pretty much full-strength so it’ll be about who brings their best game on the day.”

Daria Bannister and Mia King will both return after lining up in the AFLW All Stars curtain raiser, with Skye Brown the sole name on the Blues’ injury list.
Gibbins said winning the midfield battle was crucial to his side’s chances of repeating the round 11 result.
“We’ve got some defensive matchups sorted which we’ll need to win on the day for us to be successful, but at the end of the day we need to win through the midfield to win the game.
“Both teams will have enough opportunities inside their (forward) 50s so if we convert like we did last time we’ll go a long way to winning it.”
First bounce is at noon.
