In perfect weather at the Northern Tasmania Croquet Centre, the St Leonards club members conquered their home turf to remain undefeated at close of play with six wins each.
They are closely followed by Gina Kirkland, of Latrobe Club, and Bonnie Claxton, of St Leonards, with five wins apiece.
Others who have performed well are Lynne Farrell, of East Launceston, and Monica Fleming, (St Leonards), P. Traill (Royal Park) and Paul Boer (East Launceston).
The successful two-day event was due to finish on Monday and feature the annual Northern regional competition and 2016-17 trophy presentations.
Croquet Tasmania Northern promotions officer Lee Turner reported numerous close contests over the course of a keenly-fought event at St Leonards.
