Legends of Revue Ride Again brings together the collective experience of more than 60 revues, with performers John X, Graeme Paine, Andrew Casey and Andrew Colrain putting their own spin on some memorable sketches.
The show includes such skits as Tasmaniana, which was originally performed in 1986, and the Cricket Umpires Dance from the 1992 Uni Revue.
John X said some jokes just don’t get old.
“People still feel the need for a good laugh, which is what these sketches give,” he said.
“It does become a bit of a history lesson, because we make references to what was happening when these sketches were originally performed.”
Legends of Revue will be playing at the Earl Arts Centre from the August 10-12. Tickets are available from the venues either online or at the box office.
