She has been remembered as a “gorgeous” and “very kind” person after she was tragically hit by a car on Monday night.
The 26-year-old woman from Evandale died at the scene.
Since Tuesday night, people have taken to Facebook to share their heartbreak.
“Words can't express how much I cried for your early [loss]. I will … miss you so much my dear [gorgeous] and very kind cousin … I love u so much my cousin,” a family member wrote.
“One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter we love you,” said a friend.
Investigations into her death are continuing, but police described it as a “traumatic event”.
Police said she was wearing dark clothing when she was walking along a rural road that had no street lighting or markings on the road.
