Tax failure lands man in court
A man who failed to lodge a tax return for nine years has been given a fine.

Brian Floyd appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with nine counts of failure to comply with a notice to furnish a taxation return. He pleaded guilty.
Floyd was given a notice in February last year ordering him to complete the returns by May. As of Tuesday when he appeared in court, the documents remained outstanding. He was fined $600 and ordered to complete the forms within 60 days.
